The Sabres' Remix jersey starts with a logo fans already love. The Goathead, normally seen in black and red, sits on the chest recolored in the club's modern royal blue and gold. The sweater itself is royal blue with gold and white stripes on the sleeves and waist.
The stripes carry the theme. Buffalo was nicknamed the City of Light after it became one of the first American cities lit by electricity, so the white stripes have small lightning bolts and stars debossed into them. The shoulder patch blends the Goathead-era B with an electrified sabre, and BUFFALO sits between stars inside the hem.
The team pairs it with royal blue helmets, pants and socks with gold stripes. It is a good pick if you like the Goathead but want it in the club's traditional colors.

Is the Sabres Remix jersey the same as the black Goathead alternate?
No. The Goathead alternate is black and red. The Remix uses the same logo recolored in royal blue and gold, with City of Light lightning bolts in the stripes.
When do the Sabres and Islanders both wear Remix jerseys?
On Jan. 20 on Long Island, the Sabres' only road Remix game. The Islanders also wear theirs that night.
