The Capitals looked to the city's monuments. The sweater is a steel blue, and the crest is the Capitol Dome logo the club used on its road black uniforms in the early 2000s, decorated with stars, sticks and the Statue of Freedom.
The white yoke and waist stripes are printed with a marble texture and trimmed in bronze-gold, echoing the stone of the National Mall. The screaming eagle from the late-1990s uniforms returns on the shoulders, the numbers are etched and beveled like monument lettering, and cherry blossoms surround THE DMV inside the hem.
It is worn with blue helmets and pants and marble-striped socks. If you liked the club's 1990s and 2000s look, this jersey brings both logos back at once.
