Hometown Remix Jersey Size Guide
Hometown Remix jerseys come in numbered sizes, and the same number does not fit the same in the Premium and the Authentic Pro. Find your letter size below, then the number that matches it in the version you want.
Your size in each version
NHL Shop's charts label each number with a letter size. If you know what you wear in a regular T-shirt or hoodie, start here:
| You wear | Premium | Authentic Pro |
|---|---|---|
| S | 42 | 48 |
| M | 44 or 46 | 50 or 52 |
| L | 50 or 52 | 54 or 56 |
| XL | 54 or 56 | 58 |
| 2XL | 60 | 58+ |
So a size 50 is an L in the Premium but an M in the Authentic Pro. Ordering the Authentic Pro in your Premium number gets you a jersey about one letter size bigger.
How each version fits
Premium
Relaxed, with room for a T-shirt underneath, and closer to the body than the Authentic Pro. Sizes 42 to 60. Fanatics' general NHL sizing advice is to go one size up if you will wear layers underneath.
Authentic Pro
Oversized, because players wear it over shoulder pads. At the same number, its chart lists 3.5 inches more chest than the Premium. Sizes 48 to 60. If you will wear it without pads, consider one letter size down.

Figures as printed on NHL Shop's size charts, checked 2026-11-04. The charts do not say whether they are body or garment measurements, so compare sizes within a chart rather than against a tape measure. The chart’s largest column is labelled 58+ (2XL), while the size buttons go up to 60; NHL Shop does not say how the two match.

Youth sizes
Youth Premier jerseys are made by Outerstuff and sold in two combined sizes, Yth S/M and Yth L/XL. They cost $119.99 blank and $149.99 with a player's name and number on NHL Shop. The chart behind those two sizes:
| Youth size | Kids' size | Chest | Waist | Hip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 8 | 28″71 cm | 24.25″62 cm | 30.25″77 cm |
| M | 10/12 | 30.75″78 cm | 25.75″65 cm | 33″84 cm |
| L | 14/16 | 32.5″83 cm | 26.5″67 cm | 34.5″88 cm |
| XL | 18/20 | 34.25″87 cm | 27.5″70 cm | 36.5″93 cm |
For smaller kids, some teams also have toddler and preschool player jerseys at $109.99 on NHL Shop (C$153.99 on NHLShop.ca), usually in a single size such as 3T or 5/6.
Quick picks
- Game nights with a T-shirt: Premium in the number that matches your usual letter size.
- Outdoor games or a hoodie underneath: Premium, one number up.
- Playing in it: Authentic Pro in the number that matches your letter size, so it fits over pads.
- Authentic Pro to wear without pads: consider one letter size down from usual.
- Gift you can't try on: Premium, one number up. A loose jersey looks normal; a tight one doesn't.
Before you order
- No women's cut. There is no women's Remix jersey on NHL Shop or NHLShop.ca.
- No custom names. Neither store offers your own name and number on a Remix jersey.
- Returns. Most items get 90 days, but jerseys that ship from a partner warehouse get 30 days from shipping. Keep the tags on until you are sure of the fit.

Size guide FAQ
Do Hometown Remix jerseys run big?
The Authentic Pro does. It is cut oversized to go over pads, and at the same size number its chart lists 3.5 inches more chest than the Premium chart. The Premium has a relaxed fit with room for a T-shirt.
What size Hometown Remix jersey should I get if I wear a large?
On NHL Shop's own charts, a men's L is size 50 or 52 in the Premium and 54 or 56 in the Authentic Pro.
Is there a women's Hometown Remix jersey?
No. When we checked NHL Shop and NHLShop.ca, the women's Remix range had hoodies, tops and hats but no jersey. The men's Premium in a smaller size, or a youth jersey, are the closest options.
Can I get my own name on a Hometown Remix jersey?
Not from NHL Shop or NHLShop.ca. Neither site offered custom names or numbers on any Remix jersey when we checked; you can choose a blank jersey or a listed player.
What if my jersey does not fit?
NHL Shop's policy allows 90-day returns on most items, but items shipped by a partner, which includes many Remix jerseys, have 30 days from shipping. Jerseys must be unworn with tags on. Check the return window on your order before you remove the tags.
