Privacy Policy

PuckJersey is a static information site. You cannot create an account here, and we do not ask for personal information.

What we collect

Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This data is used to deliver and secure the site.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics tool that runs on servers we operate. This tool sets no cookies. For each page view we record the page address (without most query parameters), the website you came from (domain only), your screen size, browser language, browser type and approximate location. We also count a few actions: clicks on retailer and team store links, opening an FAQ answer, adding a team's games to a calendar, and getting a result from the jersey picker. For the picker we only count that it was used, not your answers. Your IP address is used to estimate location and tell visits apart, and is not stored in readable form.

Google Analytics

We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. Visitors in Canada are asked first: Google Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change that choice any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Elsewhere, you can block these cookies in your browser settings or opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell visitor data.

Links to retailers

When you follow a link to a retailer, that site's own privacy policy applies. Affiliate links may let the retailer or an affiliate network set cookies to record that you came from us.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, including the Google Analytics cookies described above. Readers in California, Canada, and other regions with privacy laws may request information about their data by emailing hello@puckjersey.com.
