Premium or Authentic Pro: which should you buy?
If you are buying a jersey to wear to games, get the Premium. It is $224.99 blank or $274.99 with a player's name and number, it has stitched twill numbers and an embroidered crest, and the relaxed cut fits over a T-shirt without looking like a tent. From a few rows back, it looks the same as what the players wear.
The Authentic Pro ($474.99 blank, $499.99 with a name) is the jersey the players wear. It is cut oversized to go over shoulder pads, so it makes sense if you play in it, collect game-spec jerseys or plan to get it signed and framed. For everyday wear, it is about $250.00 more for a fit most fans find too big.
For kids, the Youth Premier is $119.99 blank. The full breakdown is in Authentic Pro vs Premium, and fit advice is in the size guide.
What makes each design different
Most clubs used the program to tell a story about their city. A few went further than the rest. Florida made the first NHL game jersey with a pink base. Carolina put its hog mascot in a bucket hat on the chest. Calgary turned its jersey into a goodbye to the Saddledome, down to the shutter texture in the numbers. Pittsburgh printed its penguin like 1960s pop art. Vegas covered its shoulders in casino felt and its sleeves in roulette bands. If you want something nobody will mistake for a regular jersey, start with those five.
- Anaheim Ducks: Kelly green with purple sleeves and a deliberate "Orange Country" pun inside the hem.
- Boston Bruins: An all-brown varsity sweater with BRUINS in gold collegiate letters, the club's first all-brown look since 1924.
- Buffalo Sabres: The Goathead logo in blue and gold, with lightning bolts debossed into the stripes for the City of Light.
- Calgary Flames: A goodbye to the Saddledome: roofline stripes, window circles and 1983-2027 in the hem.
- Carolina Hurricanes: Stormy the hog mascot as the crest, in a bucket hat and sneakers, over oak-leaf sleeves.
- Chicago Blackhawks: The club's first green game jersey, with Chicago flag stars debossed into the sleeves.
- Colorado Avalanche: A C crest filled with a Rocky Mountain elevation map in graduated blues.
- Columbus Blue Jackets: A full goal cannon as the crest and arch-shaped sleeves for Columbus's Arch City nickname.
- Dallas Stars: Neon green on white, with Reunion Tower's lit lattice embossed into the stripes.
- Detroit Red Wings: HOCKEYTOWN arched over the winged wheel, with a purple octopus hidden inside the hem.
- Edmonton Oilers: An all-black "Oil Country" look with warning-sign orange stripes and an oil-splatter texture.
- Florida Panthers: The first pink (coral) base color ever used on an NHL game jersey, styled like a vintage beach tee.
- Los Angeles Kings: The original purple and gold with the Gretzky-era chevron crest and debossed palm trees.
- Minnesota Wild: A night-sky crest with a crescent moon, and the Big and Little Dipper debossed on the sleeves.
- Montreal Canadiens: The five symbols of Montreal's city flag on the sleeves and a crest etched like Old Montreal stonework.
- Nashville Predators: Country stagewear filigree on the yoke and cuffs, with an iris for Tennessee's state flower.
- New Jersey Devils: The NJ monogram freed from its circle and enlarged in red on a black sweater.
- New York Islanders: A modernized version of the 1990s Fisherman crest, with teal and orange wave stripes.
- New York Rangers: NEW YORK in skyline-style stepped letters, plus the Lady Liberty logo from the 1996-2007 alternate.
- Ottawa Senators: A brushed-gold centurion crest, Peace Tower clock sleeves and bilingual shoulder patches.
- Philadelphia Flyers: The Liberty Bell inside the winged P, with six orange stripes for the club's 60th season.
- Pittsburgh Penguins: A skating penguin crest printed like 1960s pop art, with halftone dots and offset color.
- San Jose Sharks: Shark-tooth sleeve stripes with a pink "gum line", a nod to the shark head players skate out of.
- Seattle Kraken: The anchor logo as the main crest for the first time, with scrimshaw-style etching throughout.
- St. Louis Blues: A round crest with the Gateway Arch, and numbers beveled like the Arch's steel.
- Tampa Bay Lightning: The Stadium Series skull moved to the chest, on black with Sky Blue lightning-bolt sleeves.
- Toronto Maple Leafs: A cream sweater that brings back the 1927 many-pointed leaf for the name's 100th anniversary.
- Utah Mammoth: A Mountain Blue base with stripes that form rising mammoth tusks when the arms are down.
- Vancouver Canucks: A tonal "stealth" orca with a silver eye and the skyline reflected in the bay on the sleeves.
- Vegas Golden Knights: A jade casino-felt yoke, roulette sleeve bands and numbers set in a playing-card typeface.
- Washington Capitals: A Capitol Dome crest, marble-textured trim from the city's monuments and cherry blossoms in the hem.
- Winnipeg Jets: Northern lights in the crest and a blue-to-green aurora fade on the lower sleeves.
Will Hometown Remix jerseys sell out?
Fanatics has described the collection as limited supply, and the program is planned for this season only, so there is no promise of a second run. A few early signs: Las Vegas team stores warned of limited stock before launch, the Anaheim team store showed its Authentic Pro as sold out soon after release, and some player versions on the NHL Shop were listed as pre-order rather than in stock.
Based on what we have seen so far, the safest approach is to buy early in your size, especially for the teams that drew the most attention at launch, and to check more than one store. Team stores, the NHL Shop and NHLShop.ca do not always run out at the same time. We have not seen enough resale data yet to say how prices will hold up after launch, and we will add it here when there is a clear picture.
Hometown Remix jersey FAQ
How much do Hometown Remix jerseys cost?
On the official NHL Shop, adult jerseys run from $224.99 for a blank Premium to $499.99 for an Authentic Pro with a player's name and number. Youth jerseys start at $119.99.
When did the Hometown Remix jerseys come out?
The program was announced on August 19, 2026. All 32 designs were revealed and went on sale on November 2, 2026, and the Florida Panthers, San Jose Sharks, and Chicago Blackhawks wore theirs in games that night.
How many games will teams wear them?
261 regular-season games feature a Hometown Remix jersey in 2026-27, including 19 where both teams wear them. Each club picks its own dates, from five games to thirteen.
Can I get my own name on a Hometown Remix jersey?
Not from the official stores. When we checked on November 4, 2026, neither NHL Shop nor NHLShop.ca offered a custom name and number on any Remix jersey, so the choice is a blank jersey or one with a listed player's name. Player versions start at $274.99.
Will Hometown Remix jerseys come back next season?
The program is planned for the 2026-27 season only. The league and Fanatics have said they will judge fan response before deciding on future versions, and Fanatics describes the stock as limited.
